Why devotees come here
Devmogara Temple stands on a mountain near Rajpipla in Gujarat, in the Satpura hills. It is the shrine of Dev Mogra, a deity worshipped by the Satpura mountain people. Devotees come from Gujarat and nearby states.
Devmogara is an old pilgrimage site in the Satpura hills. Dev Mogra, also called Devmogra or Yaah Devmogi, is worshipped here by the Satpura mountain people. The shrine is regarded as the ancestral deity shrine of the tribal community. Devotees travel from Gujarat and neighbouring states for religious observances.
Legend says the temple was created seven generations ago, when the then high-priest saw a vision of Dev Mogra. The temple is also linked with Pandori Mata, known as Yaha Mogi Mataji, and draws devotees from the tribal communities of the region.
Gujarat approved Phase II development of the temple in September 2026, after Phase I was completed. Phase II adds two new toilet blocks and a dharamshala on temple trust land, and renovates the sanctum. Phase I brought a Central Vista, a stone entrance gate, parking, pathways, a toilet block, a dharamshala and 295 shops.
