Keshoraipatan is a city in Bundi district, Rajasthan. The town is famous for Keshav Rai Temple, which is dedicated to Vishnu. Devotees worship him here as Keshav Rai.
Rao Raja Chattar Sal of Bundi built the temple. The temple shows Rajput architecture with Rajasthani and Mughal influences. Its red sandstone tower walls carry intricate carvings and sculptures. Carvings also cover its walls, pillars and ceilings. Inside, the walls carry carvings of elephants and horses, and the sculptures show gods and goddesses in traditional Rajasthani styles.
The Chambal River touches the temple in a half-moon shape. Local people revere the river as sacred, and an annual pilgrimage to its waters takes place each year. Devotees from across India come together on Kartik Poornima to bathe in the river. Visitors can also take a boat on the river.
