The parad Shivlinga is called Tejoling, and it is said to have religious importance equal to the Twelve Jyotirlingas.

During the holy month of Shravan, thousands of devotees come to perform Abhishek, offering milk, water and bilva leaves to the Shivlinga. Parbhani is the administrative headquarters of Parbhani district, and the temple is in the town itself.
