Why devotees come here
Sapta Maateyara Temple stands in Jadigenahalli village in Hoskote taluk, Bangalore Rural district, Karnataka. The district page calls it a center of worship for villagers, and special pujas and festivals bring a huge crowd of devotees.
Sapta Maateyara Temple is a center of worship for the villagers of Jadigenahalli. The Bangalore Rural district page says it attracts a huge crowd of devotees during special pujas and festivals. It also calls the temple one of the important temples in Hoskote taluk, the taluk where the village lies.
The village takes its name from Jade Muneshwara, and it lies on Saptamatrika Hill. A description of the village places a Saptamatrika and Jade Muneshwara temple on Saptamatrika Betta hill. The same village page describes a month-long procession of the village deity Karagaparameshwari, which belongs to the village and not to this temple. It is not clear that this is the same shrine as Sapta Maateyara Temple, so confirm before you travel.
Jadigenahalli is one of five hoblis of Hoskote taluk. The other four are Kasaba, Anugondanahalli, Nandagudi and Sulibele. Hoskote is a city and satellite city, and the village sits about 7 km from it and about 30 km from Bangalore.
