Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib is one of the five takhts of the Sikhs, in Patna, Bihar. The tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, came into the world in Patna on 22 December 1666, and the gurdwara stands on that birthplace. It is also known as Patna Sahib. It keeps his cradle, Pangura Sahib, and his silken frock, Chola Sahib. It also keeps a copy of the Adi Granth that he signed, along with other relics.
The building has been rebuilt more than once. A fire burnt it down, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh of the Sikh Empire rebuilt it in the early 19th century. After an earthquake in 1934 damaged it, the building was rebuilt between 1948 and 1957. A marble-paved courtyard leads into the gurdwara. The state's Sikh circuit includes the Takhat.
