Kuchadri Venkateshwara Swamy temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Venkateshwara, also called Srinivas. Sridevi and Bhudevi are his consorts there. In 2011 the Andhra Pradesh government declared the temple a protected monument.
The temple stands on a hillock near the western edge of Kuchanapalli village. On the northeast side of the hillock lies a square sacred tank called Koneru, with steps on its east and south sides. The tank holds water all through the year, and devotees believe springs feed it. Two four-pillared mandapams, pillared halls, stand on the south and north sides of the tank. Visitors need to crawl slightly between two massive rocks to reach the sanctum, where priests perform daily rituals.
There are no proper written records of the temple. Its ruins are dated to the 10th to 11th century CE, based on loose sculptures and the pillared mandapams.
