Mansa Devi Temple is dedicated to Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti. The complex spreads over 100 acres on the Shivalik foothills in Bilaspur village, near Mani Majra of Chandigarh and Panchkula. Devotees from different parts of the country come here during the Navratras for her blessings.
The present main temple was built between 1811 and 1815 by Maharaja Gopal Das Singh of Mani Majra. The complex has three temples, and the main temple is the oldest. About 200 m away stands the Patiala Shivalaya, a Shiva temple built in 1840 by Karam Singh, Maharaja of Patiala.
The new temple corridor was completed in 2021, and the old stones were replaced with granite. Lakhs of devotees pay obeisance during the two Navratra melas, and the temples stay open through the day. The Haryana government took over the temple and set up the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board to manage it.
